Superior Farms Pet Provisions welcomes new VP of Sales

Eric Tiller brings varied background in the pet industry to his new role

May 6, 2013 (Dixon, CA) – When he was a youth at his parent’s farm and feed store, Eric Tiller didn’t realize that learning the pet industry from the ground up would turn into his career. Now, after working on the retail side and the distributor side, he is ready to take the Superior Farms Pet Provisions brand to the next level as the Vice President of Sales for the new company.

“Being able to work for a company that is in control of the sourcing – that is very important in the pet industry,” said Tiller. “What enticed me most is that I saw a start up that was getting into the pet segment that had all the resources – really knowing the farms that the products were coming from. It’s enticing to take some knowledge of the pet industry and apply it to grow this into a successful brand. ”

Tiller worked for Central Garden and Pet from 2000 in various locations around the country, including the Sacramento location starting in 2010.

“He is a great fit,” said Gary Pfeiffer, SFPP President. “We are a fast growing company with an excellent product. Eric brings to us a lifetime of pet industry experience that will help us grow our brand nationally and make our products available to discerning pet owners everywhere.” SFPP processes natural lamb and venison pet treats safely in their facilities in the USA and New Zealand.

“The pet industry comes naturally,” said Tiller. “With my past experience in the industry I can relate to the current retailers and be able to bring them safe and natural products.”

Tiller can also relate to the product because he and his wife and two children also have a Yorkie named Clementine in the family.
